Happy Death Day

Low birth
Humble background

In wisdom
And knowledge he grows
Even more than
The wise men he knows

Great wonders
Among them, he did
Making their
Magicians look stupid

All he did in humility
Both for the poor and rich
The saints and sinners
He made his own, he their leader

After all had been done
Malice was built up
Against him
Death, the ultimate penalty

And with joy
He gave in to their plot
For the scripture to be fulfilled
He surrendered to be killed

Even on the road to death
His tears wear smiles
Agony was laughter
And lamentations were praises

For he came to die
Not to live
To die for the sinner
You and me

And that he did
His destiny fulfilled
His death birthed salvation
Joy to all nations

A day we’ll always remember
What a HAPPY DEATH DAY
