Black is Still Golden

People running…
Mothers wailing…
Children crying…
A black is down!
Struggling to catch a breath,
But “I can’t breathe”
Echoed into the ears of the national watchdog who seethe

Time ticking…
People pleading…
Verdict passing…
A black is gone!
Lying helplessly to be long foregone
Without crime to be sent beyond,
But alleged as a vagabond

Court debating…
Witnesses revealing…
Case closing…
Black is sin!
In a world with no justice for brown skin
Where human rights are cast in the dust bin
Yet we are humans more like twin’

People protesting…
Placards waving…
Bloggers blogging…
Black lives matter!
We are humans and should live for the better
Whether black or white our rights matter
Let love lead and not shatter

Why not share?
