“There’s Not A Friend” — A Poem by Nelson Dominic Ikpendu

There’s not a friend
Like the lowly Jesus
No, not one
None amidst us

There’s not a friend
that can feel our pain
Like he feels it
No, not one again.

There is not a friend
That could give away his riches
To make himself man
Just to spare our blemishes.

There’s not a friend
That can wipe our sinful slate
No, not one
None up to date.

There is not a friend
Who can to redeem us
And give us a new life
By paining the price at all cost.

My dear lowly Jesus,
I love you so much
all that I have is yours
Do with me whatever you will.

Why not share?
