Mother’s Pain

I call her a smaller god
Or better still a semi–god
She never hesitates to get burnt
In order to enable her little eagles soar

Beneath all the smiles shared by mothers
There is always a deep pain unknown to others
She is always giving her body a hard time
In order to save her little fruits from hunger

Different occasions of sleepless nights
Only a mother is capable of going that far
Most times, forgetting she has an headache
She comes down rushing to attend to our pain

Her beauty is left uncared for
But our face shines like refined oil
Her body is covered in pieces
But we go around in fine silk

Going on an empty stomach for days
You will never find out and it won’t be obvious on her face
Enduring insults here and there
She still will never deprive you of your love and care

For her offsprings she is always available
Even if she has to squeeze her tight schedule
Her love is immeasurable!
Her worth unquantifiable!
Every mother is valuable

Why not share?
