Saving Grace

It’s a cold world
Warm me up oh Lord!
I grope in the darkness
For hope,
My sight goes blurry
Lord, show me a vision.

My shoulders are caving in
From the weight of my sins,
My spirit is dyed red
From my innocence that is dead.
Is this the end,
Or just a bend?

I can feel my strength waning,
My demons are winning.
The cage is shrinking
And my soul is drowning.
I want to scream but my head
Is underwater.
I want to fight, but my limbs are tired.

So, I close my eyes
And listen silently.
Silently for the voice that says
“Child you’re forgiven, rise and sin no more.”

Why not share?
