“Cashew Fruits” — A Poem by Chima Daniel

Ladies
are
like
cashew
fruits.
When plucked, a succulent
body stands tall with fleshy
and juicy content to keep
the candle of love burning.
When the body is gone
a hard nut is left to
crack. But many men
throwaway the nuts.
Only a few real men
go a step further to
process them
again into edible
cashew nuts.
