Reflections

The sun sets in the west
Across the jungle, over the seas
I, like a hopeless madman
Sit, watching the last rays flicker

Hopes buried deep down my soul
Hopelessly I crave for the inner satisfaction
Like a dessert without an oasis
Reflecting the mirror of life

I sit watching the sun setting
The illumination when the rays touch the sea
Like a goodnight kiss before plunging deep into the jungle
Not sure if tomorrow the rays will flicker

I watch the sea bid goodbye to the sun
Creating a beautiful scene to the eyes
A longing to stay for another second
My hopes fail with each flicker of the last rays

Evenings bring with it hopes,
Of another tomorrow to fight
Before the sun sets, to achieve
To reflect on what is to come tomorrow

Why not share?
