I was rejected,
My emotions were neglected;
My feelings, maltreated.
I made my heart her dwelling,
Though my soul was bleeding.
She was broken, I sacrificed my feelings just to be sure she was healing.
I went against the tradition,
And did an abomination;
Because of her, I received gifts of accusation.
Because of her action,
I went through transformation.
I am now a beast of condemnation.
Now, the world sees me as a devil,
Filled with thoughts of evil,
A demon that can never shun upheaval.
If I tell the world I’m broken,
And show her the pain she has awoken,
The world will mourn with me and add to the words I’ve spoken.
Weep for me no more, it is my fate.
If the future pleases, let it quench the burning fire.
