Blissful hope, are thou really true?
Are thy speakings free from flatter?
How then soothing thy words renew
Thoughts of fear thou alone shatters.
Thy words sing, spirit lift—new life;
Wear a smile, courage marches on
Not again—fearful of nightlife
Hope stands, battle almost won.
Failure like a false stand watches;
Still in shock, out of luck, head bowed.
Where comes though this light o’er clutches?
Where comes this light singing so loud?
Dark clouds are only for a while
Hope, in the morning brings new smile.
