Like the glow of a newborn, it shines
The purity through the eyes of a child
It’s pure yet adorable
Seemingly blank and yet with a whole story.
I stare at it
My eyes blinded by its beauty
My soul drawn into its depths
I wish I was a part of it
I wish I belonged.
Yet it feels so pure
That even I stand as a speck
A piece of taint
So unwelcome and out of place.
The world has a sky
It’s a canvas
Full of glittering stars
They shine better than diamonds
Like lanterns they light the path.
And so the plants stretch
Slowly, a desire builds in them
To reach into this beautiful canvas in the sky.
