I thought yesterday was dead
Like mixed with Mother Earth
I thought, it has been buried
Never to resurrect
So I continue with today
Focusing on the future
I got busy with today
Preparing for the future
All of a sudden
Within the twinkle of an eye
Yesterday came with burdens
Balancing it on my today’s heart
Now they are both locked
In dangerous fantasy
Swearing oaths of love
To each other’s longevity
Oh! Had I known
I would have dealt with my past
Before caring for the future
Now they are locked fast
When you don’t take care of your past
It mingles with your present
And it’ll affect your future’s life
Making you a living dead
