The Marriage Proposal

Him: Will You?

Will you marry me to make me whole?
To be the flavor that’ll nourish my soul
I can’t bear to let you go
Making you mine, is my only goal

I’m down on my knees
Floating in the evening breeze
Asking you to please
Say ‘yes’ and set my heart at ease

I’ll be your Prince and you my Princess
My love for you is pure and priceless
All I need, I have in excess
But without you, I feel I’m no success

Listen as the birds sing
This here is my mother’s ring
Blessings are what it shall bring
Will you marry me and make me a king?

Will you be my wife?
For the rest of my life?
For your happiness I shall strive
As long as we remain alive

On this eve of Valentine
Behold the neon sky shine
Its glow, so bright and fine
Will you marry me and forever be mine?

Her: Yes, I will

‘Incredible’ is not enough
To describe how awesome you make me feel
‘Awesome’ is not enough
To describe how incredible you are

Forever is not enough
To measure how long
I want to journey life
With you my darling

I want to dance
To the songs of your lips
Everyday until my legs
Can no more bear my weight

I want to profess
How much I love you
To the heavens
Untill they too get jealous

I want to sleep every night
With smiles planted on my face
As I lay on the bed
With your arms wrapped around me, caressing my body

I cannot wait
To become the queen to your kingdom
To watch you rule
With power and might

Get up, my king
Spare your knees pain
Rise to your feet
I am but a maiden

I prayed to God for you
Knowing I didn’t deserve it
Just like oxygen
I need you to survive

You are my hero
My knight in shining armor
My rare gem
My essence

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I shall marry you
I shall be yours
Till death do us part
