Marriage Mistake

My daughter,
when the love with your so-called husband shall wax cold,
he shall return at midnight as usual, and rain abuses on you;
he shall call you ‘good for nothing’; he shall call you a ‘marriage mistake’

He shall compare you with his mistress(es), and magnify your weaknesses.
you shall get used to seeing cuts and bruises on your body and he shall get used to flexing his muscles on you.

The next time he staggers into the house drunk to perform this daily routine, don’t fight back—learn to use the pistol.
