Victory To Me

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when you visit the past
And you see short Ali and tall Bambi
Ali, standing like a stool
Throwing stones at mangoes
Running here and there
Rolling tires very fast
Like a deer that’s been hunted

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when Ali consoles tall Bambi
Who kept feeling she’d commit suicide
Because her only pillar;
Mr Nelly, died on her seventh birthday
Mr Nelly was her father and a good man
Who took care of Bambi after her Mother’s death at birth
Only to die at a time she needed him more

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when Bambi stops schooling early
To fend for Ali upon his father’s murder
Whilst his stepmother stops his education

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when Ali pushed the truck
Off the path he choose to tread
Clearing thorns though bruised
With Bambi cutting trees to pay Ali’s fees

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when Ali left the land
On a sojourn of hope in quote
and Bambi cries as she walked home
Seeing his only Ali off the land

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when things weren’t well
Ali left Bambi with no trace
Bambi cried all day
Yet, Ali leaves no signal of return

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when Doctor Ali arrives the land
Seeks and saw a skinny tall Bambi
Whose bones are emaciated
Like the cable of a USB
And flies him off the land
Only to return a huge tall Bambi
That now owns a cotton and rice plantation
At the expense of Ali

Let me tell you about Victory
It is when Bambi economized
The resources at her disposal
And together with Ali,
Built schools and orphanage homes
To help the young grow
And sail the sky.
