Solitude

The silence calls for me, can you hear its song
There’s peace in the silence, do you feel it too?
Twinkle twinkle little stars, let me wonder how you are
Nestled in the great black sky, silence, silence and more
Peace be still, upon me now see
Shackles of noise, fetters of voices
Can you feel it falling away as I breathe
Riddle me this, the color of the night
Stretch forth her icy fingers, a balm to my soul
The crickets are silenced tonight
And the frogs abandon their mating dance
Sweet solitude, a tempting bliss
Tick tock, tick tock, the hours of time tick
Marking the silence my solitude brings

Why not share?
