The Road That Never Ends

The Road That Never Ends by Ayoalabi on ZenPens

Long I stood to see the end of world
Wondering when the stars would fade
Oceans to dry and clouds to fall

Long I waited for my hand to reach the moon
My voice to reach Pluto and my foot to step on the Sun
Waited for everyone to sing my name

Time flies like a speed of light
My infancy crawled old to the grave
Leaving my fossil to be remembered
Obscurity of silence clad my shadow

Few were said about my entity
Inks and papers cried of my extant
Few opened my page, many ignore the ignoramus

Coronach songs escorted me to the after life
Roses and lilies planted on my dust
Enigma, I rode through the road that never ends
