Mama Has Been Bad

Hush little baby, don’t you cry!
Mama has been bad, very inconsiderate
I pushed you into this cold world
Did so without looking back
Prepared you a chamber of turmoil
I swear, it was indeliberate
All this happened because I followed the wrong wind
I was ruled by my own lust
Defined only by my wild desire
You now pay a debt you know not of
And when I say, “I love you,” something in me falls apart
