Life and General Fiction

This Girl

This girl.

Almighty Father will definitely deliver me from her. If she has been using a charm on me, then, today’s own must have been intensified.

Every morning, she always greets me first, because she walks past my space to her own work area in the next floor. But I am very sure that I didn’t see her this morning. Either she avoided the staircase this morning and took the lift, or I missed her when I came to seek for inspiration in the quiet glassy enclosure by the boardroom.

I see her now, and as usual, she’s always gorgeous. She’s someone I deeply admire and I mean it. I really cannot tell if what I feel for her will last , but I know that my affection for her has indeed crossed so many hurdles.

Now I can’t concentrate, because I can see her through the glassy walls of the enclosure. She’s standing by the rails in the walkway and her look is somber.

I tap the well-polished mahogany desk as I think of her. It’s our eight month in the establishment and we have been sincere in our growing relationship with each other. In the matters of care and love, I can bet she knows my worth!

I see her pacing at the walkway and her left palm rubs her forehead dejectedly.

Is she having a migraine?

Just as I pause my write-up and make to stand up, Mr Alex, the operations officer stops by. His eyes dwells on her bosom far more than her face.

“What is he saying?” I asked myself.

I understand that I am in a glassy enclosure where sounds cannot go through and come from. But I believe that whatever Mr Alex was saying would be hard for someone at that close range to hear.

I didn’t need anyone to tell me that Mr Alex was a lewd man; his escapades were in the ears of the wise. I can see Mr Alex ‘whispering’ with his hands on her arm and whatever he was still saying made her face to light up again.

I licked my palate noiselessly and picked up my phone. I’ll do anything to distract her further. What would I do?

I dialed her line and watched her body movements. Her phone was in her right jean pocket and the vibration startled her.

Pick up quickly and hear me speak. I smiled as I listened to my mind overrun me.

She excused herself and pressed the call button.

Now, I am assured that I’ve helped her.

She was still in my arms as I watched a happy tear escape through her left eye.

“Blessing, what on earth can you not do for me?” my friend expresses as she looked into my eyes.

“There are still many things that I cannot do. But roll this burden over to Jesus, He’s the only one that can totally deliver you and not any man. Not even me,” I said.

“If Jesus is all I need to scale through, what then is stopping me from having Him in my life?” My friend’s lips twitches.

With fine rays of hope and sunshine, I led my beautiful friend to Jesus Christ .

This was still morning, but I am assured that her loads of blessings are here to stay.

Spiritually, she was free and she was all the more peaceful as I patted her back.

“You will tell me more about this Jesus’ love during lunch break,” my friend said.

“Sure, I will, it’s my greatest joy to have you share this blessed peace with me.”

Dear reader, who’s that your colleague at the office, that you’ve been ignoring or deceiving?

Why not be a friend? Show some care, share some love, there are many people dying inwardly and outwardly.

Always take a little of your time to reach out for a person’s safety and well-being. That’s the way to make the world a happy place.

There’s no greater joy of friendship than for you all to both share the blessed peace in Christ Jesus.

Come to Jesus today, Jesus is calling unto the weary, bounded and wounded in life, saying:

Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mat.11:28-30.

For if the son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John8:36

Why not share?
