The Play Boy’s Diary (Part 7)

Continued from the last part…

Danielle sat in the detention room and kept herself in deep thought. “Now, I think I’ve gotten myself into trouble,” she said out loud and felt the door creak. She quickly stood up and looked around. But the door actually creaked now, she thought and she glanced at the door, it was open.

“Who is it? Come out now and reveal yourself,” she said. She was definitely afraid. She heard the movement of someone’s leg, she turned, but didn’t find anyone. Then suddenly she felt a hand covering her eyes.

“Oh no! Please I didn’t offend anyone. Release me please,” she cried and she heard the person giggle and later started laughing, the person released his hand and turned her to face him laughing, it was Ryan.

“Ryan, you startled me, don’t you know?” she said hitting his chest continuously and he held her hand.

“I just wanted to scare you a little and now it’s like I over scared you,” he said and sat down on the chair in front of him.

“I felt like my heart would burst out,” she said and also sat down. “Don’t scare me like that again,” she said and pouted like a baby, Ryan smiled a little and held her hand.

“Dani let’s leave now,” he said and Danielle’s eyes widened.

“But I’ve not completed my punishment, it remains forty-five minutes, don’t you know?” she asked eyeing him.

“I know but I already pleaded with the Dean and all your punishments have been retracted,” he told her. “Have you forgotten who I am? It seems you don’t know me well,” he said and scoffed loudly.

“Oh my, thank you so much. But don’t feel too proud of yourself.”

“Alright, let’s go,” Ryan said and they both left the detention room.

Students could be seen parading the school compound, some were talking and laughing while some were eating. A girl mistakenly bumped into Danielle and Ryan and accidentally poured coffee on Danielle.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t know someone was coming in front of me,” the girl said and bowed continuously.

“Oh dear, it’s okay. It’s normal to bump into people, it’s no big deal. I will clean myself up, you can go,” Danielle told the girl, and she quickly left.

“You really didn’t do anything to that girl? I mean, she poured coffee on you dear, and you asked her to leave? Uh…unbelievable,” he said, removing his hair that was obstructing his line of sight.

“Not everyone is like you Ryan, you should learn to be humble,” Danielle said and Ryan just rolled his eyes.

“Okay, you can go and clean up, I will be in the cafeteria, and please be fast,” he said, Danielle nodded and left hurriedly. On her way, she saw Ian reading all alone. It seems he was deep in thought, she went towards him and tapped him on his shoulder.

“Oh God, you scared me Dani,” Ian said, placing his hands on his chest.

“I was just wondering why you are alone here. Besides you are supposed to be with your friends, right?” she asked.

“Well yes, but I just wish to be alone this moment,” Ian said. “And by the way, Dani, you need to make a space between you and Ryan. He is my friend and I know everything about him,” he started. “I know what he is trying to do, but don’t fall into his charming schemes, he is a bad boy,” Ian advised and Danielle had this confused expression on her face.

“Hey, are you sure you are alright? Why are you suddenly against your friend today? As I see him, he is not bad at all. He just has a big ego and it will subside when he has someone to advise him,” Danielle said and Ian shook his head.

“You just knew him right? But he is my childhood friend and I know what I’m saying. That’s the only advice I have for you,” he said and stood up, he packed all his books and started leaving.

But why is my heart beating rapidly, I’m so afraid. Something might happen to her, why am I so concerned about her? Come to think of it, I’ve never cared about any girl Ryan plays with, why her now? he thought and sighed, he quickly walk away from Danielle’s sight.

Danielle also left for the school’s toilet, she cleaned her uniform and decided to ease herself, she entered and the door shut by itself.

She was startled at first, but she later thought that it was the wind that caused it. Then she heard the sound of the door locking, it was the toilet’s door.

She had been locked up.

“Who is that? Who locked me here? Is any around? Please help me, I will suffocate here!” she shouted and started banging the door loudly.

“Someone please help me out of this place,” she sobbed and later resolved into crying.
