Growing Pains (I)

Living The Life

Mother always told me to set my goals
And have hope,
I did, I’ve always been—
Until now, I think my goals went off-course
And my hope—
Now on the other side of the game—
Now all I do is over think and over bother
Myself on things I want,
Now I’m a slave to my mentality—
Broken, depressed, empty and upset,
Now all I do is suffer and smile
Like the real me is happy inside…
Dear life,
I never knew growing would be so painful;
I should have never grown…
