“When are we going for the shopping?” I asked.
“Depending on when and how you wanna shop,” he replied.
“I think we should go tommorow morning,” I suggested.
“Alright then,” he said and ate the final piece from the cake. “Oh! Care for dinner tonight?” John asked.
I know he wants to gain my trust.
“Alright. I’ll go dress up,” I said without any objections.
I walked back to my room. I can’t stand his pretence any longer.
I smiled as she left. I can’t believe she fell for all those plans! I took my phone.
“Give him some beating and set him free. I’l give him an emotional beating tommorow” I said to Bob’s kidnappers and ended the call.
I went to my closet and took one of my tuxedos. Black and white. I dressed properly and made sure my collar was intact. I wore my Rolex wrist watch and sprayed a good deodorant. I combed my hair and applied cologne. I put on my shoes and took at myself. I made a grin of satisfaction. I looked like a gentleman.
Ma! I will avenge you someday, I thought in my mind and left to the car parking lot to wait for Ann.
“You know you should dress fast as a man,” Ann said as she leaned on my car.
“I know. Just had to look good, you know?” I said.
“Yeah,” she replied.
“By the way, you look stunning,” I complimented.
“Not as stunning as you’re now, Mr. Handsome,” she said and crossed her hand around my shoulder as she drew closer for a kiss.
“No… No… Not now,” I said and drew back.
“Why? I’m… I’m sorry,” she said and removed her hand from my shoulder.
“It’s fine…. Let’s go before this romantic mood get’s shitty,” I said and opened the door for her.
“Alright,” she said and sat down.
I walked, sat down and ignited my car to life, minutes later, my Ferrari was already cruising on the streets of New York. I drove off, looking for the perfect place.
“I really like Chinese foods,” Ann said snapping me out of my thoughts.
“Let’s go to Chinatown then,” I said and made a sharp U-turn.
“Take it slow!” Ann exclaimed with excitement.
“I will,” I said and increased my speed.
I drove around, making sure I overtook every car on the road.
“Please don’t kill me!” Ann yelled and I laughed.
Life is sweet indeed but avenging and righting wrongs comes first.
I pulled up at Yhun Joo Inn, one of the best restaurants in Chinatown.
“And.. here we are!” I exclaimed and unbuckled my seat belt. I came down and opened the door for her
“After you,” I said, smiled and led the way.
We ordered for some Chinese food and minutes later, we were done eating. Ann excused herself to use the washroom.
I smiled. Things are going as planned. I just wished Mr. Bryan gave my mum a chance.
By the time I’m done with him, he’ll surely beg for my forgiveness.
I looked at the door as the cops pulled over.
Some were pointing at me. They were walking majestically to me. I was really scared.
Who could have informed them about me?
