Cure for Poetry

Happiness is the cure for poetry
You can’t write good poems
when you’re happy.
You need to be sad to write good poems.
At least that’s what I think.

I know a friend who’s phone was stolen.
He was a writer prior to the incident.
He wrote a poem about his stolen phone,
And it was his best poem ever.
At least that’s what I think.

The best poems are born from Tragedy,
Inspired by Sadness,
Executed by embracing the Darkness,
And results in extreme Satisfaction.
At least that’s what I think.

I dread the thought of being cured of this madness.
Let me be mad, as long as it gives me Peace.

These days I’m happier,
So I try to accumulate more poems,
Cos I fear come tomorrow,
I might be too happy to write.

And oh, how I love to write…
