Blackmail

She was made,
she fades
and degrades
into shades.
Her friends
pretend
to defend
her to the end.
She was from the streets,
she got secrets
that aren’t discreet
yet they couldn’t interpret
the paths of her feet.
But
over a cup of ice cream
she was left to steam
beyond her widest dream
then she screamed
“I have been blackmailed.”
