Locking Her Heart (Part 5)

Continued from the last part…

Alicia’s POV

The jerk must be joking, he seriously wanted me to get on that with him. If there’s one thing I hated asides Jason, it was bikes. And now he wants me to get on that bike with him? No, I’d rather walk to school than ride on that with him.

“If you are thinking of walking to school it’s 30km from here, so it’ll take you approximately an hour, but with my bike we’ll get there in ten minutes,” said Jason.

I don’t care how long it would take, I’m not getting on that bike with him and with that in mind, I stormed off leaving him astonished as he wasn’t expecting that at all. Guess he’s used to girls drooling over him. He probably thought I’ll jump at the thought of riding with him. Like I said earlier, I’d rather walk.

“Guess we’re walking together then,” said Jason.

I was surprised to see him walking beside me. This is so not going as planned, I do not want to walk with this jerk. I tried to walk faster, but he was quick to catch up with me. He’s really stubborn, doesn’t he know when someone hates him or doesn’t want to be around him? Wait a minute, I didn’t even know what direction the school was. I mentally faced-palmed myself, now I’ll have to follow him. But no, I can’t do that, it’ll just boost his already gigantic ego. I suddenly remembered Rose telling me about the GPS app on my phone, I bet it can lead me safely to school without having to follow him and I was right. All I had to do was simply input the name of the school, and it gave me very understandable directions. The jerk was lying because according to this GPS, it takes less than 20 minutes to get there. I’m so glad I didn’t give into his demands. I looked back to find him still trailing behind me leaving us with just a few metres apart. I decided to just ignore him and pretend he wasn’t even there. With that in mind, I plugged in my earphones and played one of my favorite songs, ‘New Rules‘ by Dua Lipa. Though it’s kinda old, I can’t help but listen to it as I lived the lyrics. As usual, I didn’t know when I started singing along.

“One… Don’t pick up the phone, you know he’s only calling ‘cus he’s drunk and alone,

Two… Don’t let him in, you have to kick him out again,

Three.. Don’t be his friend, you know you only gonna wake up in his bed in the morning…”

“I’ll love to have you on my bed in the morning,” said Jason with a dirty smirk.

Oh jeez! I was I singing aloud again and that jerk, doesn’t he has a sense of dignity left in him? He’s seriously giving me more and more reasons to hate him. How and when did he get ahead of me? I must have been so lost in the song that I didn’t even realize it.

Stupid Alicia.

I heard my phone beep, which signified I’ve gotten to my destination and when looked up, I couldn’t help but be amazed by the building. The architecture alone could make one go crazy the colours combined were so lovely and they gave the building an attractive look. I could not believe this was going to be my school. I was grinning from ear to ear, when the jerk had to speak up and ruin my happy mood once more.

“If you keep your mouth open that way, an insect might enter and we won’t want that babe,” he said.

Okay, that’s it. He can’t call me babe, I’ve had enough of his shit.

“Listen up, I might have to marry you in the not so distant future, but that doesn’t and would never change the way I feel about you. I hate you you hear me? Jason, I hate you so much, my hatred for you could make hell freeze over twice,” I said. I expected him to leave or get angry, but his actions shocked me.

He grabbed me and pulled me closer to himself and whispered in my ears, “You might hate me now but I assure you, soon you’ll be falling so hard for me the devil would be amazed at how much you love me.”

And with that he left me shocked and astonished.
