No Grievances

The veil has been torn-
The darkness that blighted my dreams,
the constant nagging in my heart
and the endless stream of worry.

I’m no longer a dark writer,
for I was formerly born of grief
but today, knowledge has set me free.
The Great Conquest vindicated me.

Black birds no longer carry my name
in the dry winds.
Woodpeckers no longer peck
at the bark of my erect hope.

The blockade to home is broken.
A new path awaits me.
I can see the lights on this street,
illuminating my heart on its journey.
The map to life has been found,
and I’ll use it to navigate to the truth.
