Stay

Are you still with me?

Do you even exist?

I don’t know you without me,

Or me without you.

What happened to those times you were standing tall like the statue of liberty with confidence?

Now it’s just like a fallen branch,

From a dark tree in the forest.

I don’t know if I want you back or not.

I don’t know what I want.

What connects me to you?

Other than those dead wires like dried roots of a dead tree.

I smile when I remember the times we didn’t have sad faces.

Or was it a dream too?

Or we were lying to ourselves.

Don’t leave, don’t stay either.

Where you ever here?

You say I should take my chances,

Why then do I feel like I have none?

You are just a liar in disguise,

My worst nightmare.

Don’t leave, don’t go either.

You promised to be here.

Why not share?
