You Must Tell No One

By Aderinoye Festus Adedayo (Fessty)

He said to me with his deep voice:
"you must tell no one!."
I never told anybody,
I only kept the scars in my heart
And they still hurts like a day old wound...

I was so young and barely of age:
When he lured me into his stinking room
And stripped me naked,
Fear took refuge in my heart
As my body shook to the tune of doom,
I cried, but nobody heard my voice,
He raised my body and pluck the flowers
In between my short legs,
There was blood: so red with guilt,
And like I was cut off from the whole world,
Geckos watched from the cracked walls
And mocked my purity on his bed,
He was a matured paedophile and his nature
Ruined my own humanity: my genesis.

I was young, not yet in my teens,
I was helpless, not sure of my exodus,
He broke me into pieces,
And he said to me with his deep voice:
"you must tell no one! "
I was scared: so I told nobody,
But now I'm bold: I'm telling the whole world.

SAY NO TO RAPE

SAY NO TO THE MISUSE OF THE
GIRL CHILD.
